Soooo...has anyone received Painkillah's July CD or it time to start the public humiliation?

The Calgon Special Edition O1: Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes was mailed in theory to Mr. Korak this afternoon if he in fact exists.

By the way Korak the hypothetical Calgon mix is ready. I tailored it just fer you too. It really doesn't have anything to do with Calgon, but it does have a lot to do with outer space. Feel free to draw your own connections between the two.

With Kerry's July CD underway, we look to August. We have two address changes: John M. has purchased his first home (hooray), so he's got a new permanent address. Cricket K. will be vacationing all over the east coast, so please send her disc to her PO Box in South Bend. All details below. So Kenneth, we'll look foward to it!

Mike (aka "Korak") has the idea to start up smaller, faster rings- any newbies who want to join the ring can join these instead. It'll work like this: someone picks a theme, and everyone who is in the ring has one month to make a CD around that theme, and then send it out to the rest of the crew. I think he wants to limit these thematic rings to around 5 participants- but hey, if you start your own ring you can have it however you want!

Righto, righto, righto... I'm on, already. I need lessons, though, in how to burn a disc. I'm taking my faves to Australia in September, where I can burn on my dad's computer, but I have little idea how. MM/MG: hold my hand!

And I can say that by Ko-Rack's own standards he has excluded himself from the Mini-Burn, as I have no CD in my Mail box from him!

I concur. This burn is not to supercede or compete with the Burning Ring. This Burn is most definitely a side burn.

Alright, time to stem this "new burn" controversy before it gets legs (yeah, thanks nicky). In no way should this proposed new mini-burn step on the toes of the original, pure "real" burn. It will be clearly defined as a totally separate entity. To wit: I'm choosing a theme and a date. The mini-burners (6 max) will make their mixes, interpreting the theme as they see fit. They will mail their cds to the 5 others, postmarked by the specified date. End of story.

Oh, and people who have already burned don't get to participate in this mini-burn until they've sent their original burn to the folks on the burn list who still haven't received it yet. As far as I know, this only applies to me and James...

I must say that Korak or is it Ko-crock is all amped up about starting *another* dog-gone Burn, without even sending me a copy of the Last one!

This is the Burning Ring of Fire Blog where all matters concerning music, mixes and burning things may be discussed. I will start by apologising for starting the Ring off with a very low standard as to responding to the calendar. just because I screwed up however doesn't mean I was setting an example or providing an excuse. I will be the first to say that I shamelessly blew it. So after some discussion with Korak and Robomonkey it was agreed that when it is your month that you should have the disc post-dated by the 10th of that month. I hope that in setting this web-site up and maintaining it that I am making up for my tardiness in some respect. Okay that's it. The Burning Log lives.
