¥es Korak I finally got your burn and Jackie boy's too. They were well worth the wait. You both did excellent jobs. You both managed to set the mood of homeless rambling and wandering. I didn't realize that was Woody Gutherie until I read the song list below. Of course I thought it was Bob Dylan. I also got JM's burn last week and enjoyed it through and through.

But good old NEA did the best job of all. He managed to evoke a sense of detachment and wanderlust with his brilliant concept burn that is still out there wandering the highways, the streams and the mist shrouded valleys of his mind.

I'm guessing everyone's probably "burned" out on burning at this point, but I'm up for another in the new year. Now I have to come up with a nifty page like the one I did for the first sideburn.

Jack and Shamus: got yer Sideburns. Sounding great. I like how one of you went the Irish folksong route, the other went country. And how many Pogues songs exactly are there on this thing, Jackie?

Ain't got yours yet Nick but I'm sure it's on the way, right?
Jack: I finally managed to get to my PO box in South Bend with key in hand to get your great CD. I love it (Maddie does too, she bounced along to it in her car seat all last week) and thanks for the dollar-- I put it into special circulation in your honor.

"Home? I Ain't Got No Home!" is in the mail...

By the way, I received John Mitchell's CD yesterday and I think it sucks.

Just kidding, actually I fucking love it. And, for the record, I'm going to be the next Bob Dylan.

Schnatailya et al:

Regarding additions to the burning ring. MM and I have been discussing this, and, if it's cool with everyone else, we have what we think is a workable solution. Anyone who wants to join the ring should create a CD and send it to everyone on the distribution list. You would then be added to the end of the list. This does mean double work for late additions, but you still get all the CDs from that point on. My friend Dana also is interested in sideburning, which anyone can do. Just post something on here suggesting a burn and go for it.

James, what would be the best way of allowing new people onto this blog?

BTW, I'm currently finishing Home? I Ain't Got No Home
