I suppose it started with Shamus, when he picked up and left Montreal for renewed pastures. Or, perhaps change was in the air even before this, but it took a while for us to all realize. All I know is...

Okay Shivers, I added your Burning Tango to it's righteous place in the Burning Ring Gallery. It is complete. Which month was Gnat and Theo's CD? May June July? Someone remind me please of the order?

Loving loving loving CK's Mood Swings. Seems to be the perfect music to blast while packing up my apartment (the TCB tune makes me laugh, and Ella makes me long to abandon all responsibilities and take off for the lake . . . Elvis makes me long for my slutty days . . . heh.) But really, I have a soft spot for cheesy salsa music, and that Throwing Muses tunes was an ANTHEM for me in my troubled teen years. I love the dyad idea, and it works particularly well when we don't actually believe the words they're singing (i.e. the "pissed" or "lonely" dyads). I don't listen to Gram Parsons much these days, but now that I hear him again in this song it reminds me how much Wilco conjures his sound. Who is that singing backup? Lovely.

My burn is done, and barring more computer problems will be sent out forthwith. I have actually had it done for a while but was trying to get the labels printed.

Not having an office to do this in and not having a printer myself has prevented this from happening thus far.
Anyone want just the damn CD (yes, MDM!) without art and labels?

Maybe I can work this out now that I have a new job and office. It is coming, I promise!
