I know, I know, I'm totally obsessing about the tribute/omissions burn. Here are the rest of the sins, I think I've now decoded it -- and I've also figured out that there are NO tributes to their own CDs! heh. And for the record: I think that Staple Singers song would have made a fine contribution to my CD -- love them, and it's a great choice.

Snake's Heaven and Hell: Residents, hell no!
Cedric's Electricity: Parliament
Shiv's Burning Tangos: Gotan Project.
Nat and Theo's Guilty Pleasures: Michael Jackson (inspired choice!).
Nicky and Nick CAve go together.
Crick's Mood Swings: Jackie Wilson.
Jeff's Hush: His Name is Alive (totally forgot about about that band).
Ron's Fall. September Girls
Leslie gets released by Nina Simone.
And Len slips away.

PS: FINALLY I've put the Aug CD in the mail for ya'll. Let me know if you don't get it or what. AND, my caveat: by no means is it an exhaustive CD on the theme at hand! ha.

Picking up the thread of those last comments, finally am on to the theme of Anzo/Bobby's last CD. ha. So obvious now! Each song fits into a previous burn -- hence the tribute/omission debate. So let's see, am I correct with the following info:

Beach Boys=MacShamus' "no more shall we party"
Staple Singers= my "April is the Cruelest Month"
Ray Charles=Galvini's development
Butthole Surfers=Korak's Ego Trip
Seu Jorge= Painkiller's Transient? (I originally thought this could work for "Chile con Soul")
Kronos Qu=Kenneth's beginnings and endings
Kinks= K-ob's "out of kindness"?? (thought this could go on the "sordid" sideburn)
Johnny Cash, of course, Ricky's dead tribute.
Future Bible Heroes=Mitchell's laugh songs

is that right? They're really in order?

Cedric, yer burn kicks ass. Was blasting it yesterday as I got busy doing home improvement type things. Van der Graaf Generator -- shit, I forgot all about them. Necromancer, baby, hell yeah!
