In other news, time to put together the Burning Ring of Fire II. We've had a healthy enrollment so far (around 13), and this doesn't include most of the current Burners. So do let me know if you want to go another round. The skinny:
Interested in joining a DIY CD-of-the-Month Club?
Here's how it works: each person in the Ring is responsible for compiling a mixed-CD to send out to the rest of the group, within their assigned month. Any theme, any songs, as long as you put it together and mail it out to the rest of the group. It's fairly low-responsibility, as long as you get your CD out on time. There are also plenty of opportunities for "side-burns" as well, if you can't get enough of the burn.
We'll be starting the Ring sometime around Nov-Dec 04. Check out Shamus' Website to see playlists of past CDs. All are welcome -- you don't have to know me, or everyone to sign up. Email if interested: mdm at capgas dot org.
